I'm an expert in helping women with body, diet and weight challenges, and I'm here to help you end the struggle for good.
I know how frustrating it is to do all the "right" things but only see temporary, if any, results in your body. Your body isn't the problem... diet culture is. Diets focus on the energy going into your body but fail to address what your body actually does with that energy. The weight loss strategies we continue to be taught have led to chronic stress, metabolic dysregulation, hormonal imbalance, a growing rate of obesity, and feelings of frustration and failure.
As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, mineral balancing expert and Mind Body Eating coach, my passion is helping people like you learn how to properly nourish yourself back into a healthy state of balance. My goal is to help you end the harmful battle with your body, the cycle of dieting and over exercising, and create peace with food and your body so you'll gain the freedom to spend your energy on more meaningful things.
Weight Loss Myths

Fact: Calorie balance is important, but the calories in vs. calories out formula is far too simplistic for your complex human body. Inducing a calorie deficit through dieting and/ or excessive exercising simply slows your metabolism over time and encourages more fat storage. In addition, deprivation triggers intense cravings and bingeing, often leading to feelings of guilt and shame, which triggers a stress response in the body that slows the metabolism even further.

Fact: The desire to overeat is a physiological response in a body that's undernourished. Nourishment refers to how fulfilled you are nutritionally, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Being underfed in any of these areas may show up as a desire for more physical nourishment, which leads to cravings. Attaining fulfillment in all areas of your life ends the desire to overeat. Willpower can't do that.

Fact: Nutrition doesn't equal nourishment. Nourishment isn't only about what you eat, but how your body metabolizes what you eat. Your state of mind when you consume food, along with your body’s mineral and microbiome balance, will determine how much of that food is used to create fuel and how much goes into fat storage.

Fact: No one knows what your body needs at any given moment better than your own body. You have a "brain" built into your gut, called the enteric nervous system, that constantly sends signals to your brain about what your body needs. By putting more trust in diet experts and nutrition science (which is constantly changing) than in yourself, you've learned to ignore and go numb to your own signals. By re-learning how to tune into your body's cues, you can once again be your own nourishment expert.

My Story
I understand what it's like to be food addicted and feel out of control. I know what it means to have no self confidence. I know how hard it can be to create peace within your body when you've been consistently fighting against it, trying every diet and detox in the book.
It took many years for me to learn that the information we’ve been taught about weight loss and maintaining balance within our bodies was exactly what was making matters worse for me. Calorie deprivation diets and over exercising in an effort to balance the energy equation wound up triggering more fat storage for me, not less. Not only that, but the deprivation led to insatiable cravings that willpower just couldn’t stand up to. I’d wind up bingeing, then feeling guilty and ashamed with even lower self confidence. This snowball grew out of control for years. It sent me on a downward spiral that threw me into desperation and an intense struggle with bulimia. My life revolved around trying to manage food and find a healthy balance within my body. My attempts at making my body shrink only made my sense of shame grow.
Eventually, I learned that loving my body was the answer, not fighting against it. I finally discovered that there was nothing wrong with my body; it was simply responding appropriately to the punishment I was giving it. I then learned how to work with my body’s physiology to gently encourage healthy energy production, and how to stop inadvertently triggering energy storage by over-stressing my system.
I got my life back. Once I saw how managing the stress load on my body literally changed everything for me, it became my mission to help others do the same. There is nothing more fulfilling for me than helping others who have been stuck in the same cycle of dieting, losing weight, regaining weight and diminishing self confidence to regain control and learn to effortlessly love their bodies back to wellness.
